Working Qreux

Last summer vacation, I thought I needed a summer job, kasi… SECRET. Lol

Ayun, naghanap ako ng trabaho. I’m not new to this. Actually may kontrata nga ako dun eh, kaso hindi ko na tinapos cuz school’s about to begin then. The job isn’t that bad. It’s just that I felt that it’s not what I wanted to do, plus, ayoko pagsabayin ang trabaho at pag-aaral. Siguro masasabi mo na madali lang at kayang pagsabayain, pero in the end, you still have to choose only one. It is just only my opinion. Peace.

School vacation was about to begin then when I heard of SPES (I forgot the meaning of this acronym). It is a government project intended for the youth for them to have a summer job.

So ayun natanggap ako. Masaya naman ang naging trabaho dun. Actually wala ngang masyadong ginagawa eh.

I realized some differences in working between a private company and a government office.

  • May opening prayer…
  • …pero wala namang closing prayer.
  • Kailangan pogi at maganda.
  • Bawal magkwentuhan
  • Bawal ang mabagal
  • Bawal ang pilay
  • Bawal ang may sakit
  • Bawal ang adik
  • Bawal ang pets (nyek)
  • Merong test (yup!)
  • Kailangan laging may ginagawa.
  • Libre ang pagkain mo dun kapag break. Syempre Jollibee foods.

  • Pwedeng ma-late, kasi pwedeng dayain ang time card. Walang paki-alam ang ibang employees dun kung makita man nilang ginagawa mo yun… cuz everybody’s doing it.
  • Walang matang nakabantay sa’yo. May boss ka… pero mabait naman eh. Lol
  • May flag ceremony every monday
  • Walang opening prayer
  • Wala ring closing prayer…

This weekend is so cool. I have no school stuff to finish, that means I have all the weekend to do whatever I want!

Unfortunately though, we have 3 big projects ahead of us. We need to make an Autopilot Simulation, an improvised Logic Circuits Board, and a program written in Assembly Language. Whew!

I was really curious about Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code. It has already been made into a movie (everyone knows that, blame it to that “free” publicity). So when I found out that one of my classmates had that novel, I already grabbed the opportunity to borrow it. I haven’t watched the movie yet, and they say that it’s better to read the book first before watching the movie (applies to all novels-turned-movies).

Well what can I say…? First few pages are so damn good. It is indeed a “page turner”. You get yourself hooked. I’m still in chapter 4 though and I’m expecting myself to get shocked (cuz they say it’s “shocking”) on the latter chapters.

I’ll write a review as soon as I have finished reading the novel.

Stay kewl. Ü

Here I am, giving a blank stare at my PC.

I don’t know if it’s you or just me. It’s just weird that after some days of no “long” talks, I did not feel that you missed me… and you just suddenly called it a day because you were having some sort of “technical” problems. I was expecting you would just ignore those and just talk to me, but it turned out the other way. Even the way you bid your goodbye was totally different.

Ok, forgive me because I know that I was the first one who had a problem technically… but it was so unexpected.

I really feel sad because I REALLY want to talk to you because I am fuckin’ missing you. But you were bothered by something else, just suddenly gave up and never gave it another try. As far I remember, you had a similar problem but never seemed to be bothered by it.

I’m not really scared at all of what might be coming to happen… but somehow, I am preparing for something worse ever since the day you told me that you met someone else that kind of resembles me. That day I told my self that I will start to take things lightly and not so seriously so that in the end, it would not really matter to me that much.

Right now, as I am writing this, there are lots of things that are goin’ on in my head. I am imagining things that may happen few days or weeks from now. It feels really weird. Really weird.
...

FUCK THAT LANDLINE PHONE. IT’S FULL OF BULLSHIT.

Mahiwagang Baul

*This post has the original title of "Nanghihina". I saw this work of mine when i was browsing my friendster inbox. I made this December 2004 and posted it in the Friendster Bulletin. The reason why i saw this in my inbox is that somebody sent me a message of reaction for this post, and it said that it was too dramatic. Agree? lol
